Anthony Joshua Released from Hospital in Nigeria Following Fatal Car Crash
The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been released from care, Nigerian authorities announced on Wednesday evening. The athlete was caught in a vehicular crash outside Lagos on December 29th, a tragic incident that resulted in the deaths of two of his close associates.
Healing from Light Wounds
The sports star had remained in the hospital while healing from his light wounds, his management team had said on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post online that Joshua was judged healthy enough to “recuperate at home”.
“The boxer and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two friends who passed away as they were being made ready for the journey back,” the commissioner stated.
A Tribute to the Fallen
The victims of the crash were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a performance coach. The official further stated that the athlete was heartbroken and deeply emotional over the tragic loss of his two trusted companions.”
